Daddy Ad and Earl Gateshead from TROJAN SOUND SYSTEM have selected their favourite Jamaican songs that have influenced English ska and reggae acts for The Guardian.
According to the feature, “From the Specials in Coventry to Massive Attack in Bristol, England has long had a love affair with Jamaican music.”
Legendary reggae singer JOHN HOLT has lined up two big shows in Bristol and Cardiff early on in the New Year.
To celebrate nearly 40 years since the release of his biggest selling album 1000 Volts Of Holt, the former PARAGONS lead singer will be performing the record in its entirety at the shows.
The ‘1000 Volts Of Holt Tour 2012’ takes in Cardiff University Students’ Union in Wales and then on to the Malcolm X Centre in St Pauls, Bristol.
