MAD PROFESSOR to play special Jazz Café set

Top dub producer MAD PROFESSOR will play a special live set at the Jazz Café next month.

The ‘Outlook Festival Presents’ session takes place on 4 June with tickets priced £17.50 in advance.

Joining him is MASSIVE ATTACK founding member DADDY G, along with CADENZA and KIKO BUN.

Jamaican music pioneer LEE “SCRATCH” PERRY will headline the One Love Festival in the UK this summer.

MAD PROFESSOR and DAVID RODIGAN are among the latest additions to Bristol’s Love Saves The Day festival.

The recent reggae additions join previously announced acts like LIONPULSE, SHY FX and TEACHINGS IN DUB.

Loves Saves The Day takes place on 28-29 May at Eastville Park in Bristol with tickets priced £45-£75 in advance.

LEE “SCRATCH” PERRY and MAD PROFESSOR will perform live in Croydon this summer at the Ambition Festival.

STAND! and the Croydon Dub Club join the party and play host to the legendary producer, songwriter, performer and dub innovator.

The Jamaican musician will perform with a full band and is set to be 'live dub engineered' by long-time collaborator MAD PROFESSOR.

Bristol is getting ready for the next instalment of TOKYO DUB in September, featuring GENTLEMAN'S DUB CLUB, THE SKINTS and MAD PROFESSOR.

The day-long festival takes place on 27 September at Eastville Park in Bristol with tickets priced at £30 in advance.

Bestival reveals Reggae Roots stage

The organisers of the UK’s Bestival have announced a brand new stage for the 2014 event called Reggae Roots.

The new stage will be dedicated to the myriad flavours of reggae from ska, rocksteady and ragga to dub, dancehall and junglist riddims.

Bestival regulars REGGAE ROAST, TAYO and JIM8TRACK will be residents throughout the weekend.

Medicinal Sounds and Babylon Festivals are putting on a top night later this month in Bristol featuring leading dub producer and engineer MAD PROFESSOR.

MAD PROFESSOR will feature live trumpet from PAPA READ of THE SPECIALS’ brass section. PAPA READ has also played alongside LAUREL AITKEN, PRINCE BUSTER, DERRICK MORGAN, DENNIS ALCAPONE and DAWN PENN, among others.
