The full line-up for the Respect Jamaica 50 Festival in London - celebrating the 50th anniversary of Jamaica’s independence from the UK - can now be revealed.
North Greenwich’s IndigO2 venue will play host to the 12-day event with some of the most iconic reggae artists appearing together on stage.
The confirmed line-up is as follows:
Jamaican athletes, musicians and artists will come together this summer to celebrate the island’s 50th anniversary of independence at a “cultural extravaganza” in Birmingham.
The “Salute To The Athletes” show is set to take place on 25 July at the Symphony Hall and has been put on for Jamaica’s track and field team, whose pre-Olympic training camp will be based in Birmingham, before they head to London.
A new documentary featuring BOB MARLEY’s eldest grandchild, Donisha Prendergast, is having its world premiere next week and will soon be available on general release.
‘RasTa: A Soul's Journey’ will show at the Festival du Nouveau Cinéma (FNC) in Montreal, Canada, on 18 October, with a repeat on 20 October.
The film is an exploration of the world of Rastafari and the inspiration behind BOB MARLEY's music.
