Seminal Jamaican music man LEE “SCRATCH” PERRY has announced live shows in Leeds and Coventry this November.

Bristol reggae artist JASHWHA MOSES has been added to the line-up of LEE "SCRATCH" PERRY’s show at The Fleece next month.

The show takes place on 23 March and tickets are selling fast with around 100 left to go.

LEE “SCRATCH” PERRY and THE NEVILLE STAPLE BAND are among the latest line-up additions to Gloucestershire’s Lakefest 2014.

Lakefest returns for a third year to the Gloucestershire countryside as a three day event.

The festival takes place on 8-10 August at Croft Farm Waterpark, near Tewkesbury, with tickets priced at £90 for the weekend.

The Warehouse Project, a series of dance music events in Manchester, will not run its usual full programme in 2014.

The series takes a break for one year following a death at one of this year's events.

EARL “CHINNA” SMITH picks up Musgrave Medal

Legendary Jamaican musician EARL “CHINNA” SMITH has received a Silver Musgrave Medal at the Institute of Jamaica in downtown Kingston.

Speaking to the Jamaica Gleaner yesterday, he said his latest musical project is going to be called BINGHISTRA incorporating Nyabinghi drums with classical instruments.

“Is like getting Nyabinghi with an orchestra. Mi a try because we really have to do something different,” he said.

LEE PERRY and EARL SMITH get Jamaican honours

Legendary musicians LEE “SCRATCH” PERRY and EARL “CHINNA” SMITH are among eight Jamaicans to be awarded Musgrave medals at a ceremony in Kingston later this month.

As reported in the Jamaica Observer the pioneering producer Perry and guitarist Smith will be presented the gold and silver Musgrave medals, respectively.

Fred Perry’s Sub-Sonic Live returns to London later this year with a special night featuring LEE "SCRATCH" PERRY and curated by DAVID RODIGAN.

Warehouse Project line-up revealed: LEE PERRY, DAVID RODIGAN & MAJOR LAZER

The Warehouse Project has announced its initial line-up for 2013 including performances from LEE “SCRATCH” PERRY, DAVID RODIGAN and MAJOR LAZER, among many others.

The Warehouse Project takes place at the Victoria Warehouse in Manchester, and offers up 15 weeks of music from 27 September to 1 January 2014, with tickets priced from £20 to £28.50 dependant on the event.
