LINTON KWESI JOHNSON, THE DENNIS BOVELL DUB BAND and HOLLIE COOK are among the latest additions to the WOMAD festival in the UK.
LKJ and BOVELL will be getting the festival started on the early bird opening slot on Thursday night (26 July).
The pair have been performing and recording together for more than 20 years, where JOHNSON writes the poems and bass lines, and DENNIS BOVELL produces and arranges the tracks.
HOLLIE COOK will also be making an appearance alongside previously announced performers such as JIMMY CLIFF, TODDLA T, MC SEROCEE and TOKYO SKA PARADISE ORCHESTRA.
The World of Music, Arts and Dance (WOMAD) will be held at Charlton Park, near Malmesbury, in Wiltshire from 26 to 29 July and will celebrate the festival’s 30th anniversary.
