LEE THOMPSON SKA ORCHESTRA confirms UK shows in October

The LEE THOMPSON SKA ORCHESTRA, brainchild of MADNESS saxophonist Lee “Kix” Thompson, has announced a run of shows across the UK later this year.

The gigs confirmed so far include:

The group was formed in the backstreets of Hackney in the early months of 2011 based on a shared love of mid-to-late-1960s ska and reggae out of Jamaica.

As well as his usual saxophone duties, Thompson takes on the lead vocals in a hand-picked line up that features fellow MADNESS original Mark “Bedders” Bedford on bass.

Earlier this year the band released their debut album The Benevolence of Sister Mary Ignatius featuring the single “Fu Man Chu” originally by DESMOND DEKKER.
