Bristol Archive Records will soon release a new ‘lost’ album from REVELATION ROCKERS - the band that went on to form UK reggae stalwarts TALISMAN.

It’s not known what prevented the release back in 1979, however, the long-overdue Jah Praises will finally hit the shelves on 5 March next year.
Bristol-based REVELATION ROCKERS was founded in 1976 but did not go on to find any real success until some line-up changes and a new name: TALISMAN.
Until recently Bristol Archive Records had believed that no recordings of REVELATION ROCKERS existed, however, when they were handed a master tape they did not hang around in getting it transferred.
According to the label the five-track album - featuring tracks “Jah Praises”, “Culture”, “He Who Feels It”, “Wicked Dem” and “When You’re Away” - is a “fully realised UK roots album worthy of standing alongside anything released at the time.”
For full details about the release, soon to be available on vinyl and digital download, visit the Bristol Archive Records website.
Following the acclaimed The Bristol Reggae Explosion 1978-1983 which features three TALISMAN tracks, Bristol Archive Records released Dole Age - The 1981 Reggae Collection in May.
TALISMAN has the following live performances lined up for December:
The Bristol Reggae Explosion Vol 2 - The 80’s is also due out on 17 October.
