Lover's rock artists JANET KAY, CARROLL THOMPSON and VICTOR ROMERO EVANS have been performing in Deptford this week as part of the ‘Lovers Rock Monologues’ series of shows.
The monologues are a great opportunity to revisit and experience the music and mood that shaped the late 70s and 80s in the company of three of the people who were pioneers of the lovers rock scene.
The run of shows kicked off on 16 October and run up until 20 October at the Albany Theatre in South London.
On Friday (19 October), the evening takes a different focus with the showing of ‘The Story of Lover’s Rock’ documentary presented by ROMERO EVANS and featuring live guest PA’s.
Check out a Q&A session with KAY and ROMERO EVANS in The Voice newspaper.
