CAPTAIN BARKEY shot dead in New York

Jamaican deejay Wayne “CAPTAIN BARKEY” Hamilton has been shot and killed in the parking lot of a Bronx motel in New York.

According to the New York Police Department, Hamilton and a female companion Tracy Bennett were fatally shot by Bennett’s ex-boyfriend at the Holiday Motel early on 13 October.

As reported in the New York Post Bennett had filed a restraining order against her former lover before the shooting.

CAPTAIN BARKEY is most remembered for his hit “Go Go Wine” which he put out in 1996. He is also known for working closely with fellow deejay WICKERMAN.
