Journey To Jah: ‘be part of the film’

The film makers of a new reggae documentary Journey To Jah need the public’s support to help finance the remaining part of the project.

A short video clip below reveals what kind of content you can expect if the film is completed, urging supporters to “join the part of the film”.

German film directors Noël Dernesch and Moritz Springer have been working on the film for the last six years and now need to close a funding shortfall of US$60,000.

The documentary by Karol Martesko-Fenster features musicians GENTLEMAN and ALBOROSIE on their search for identity and spirituality in the homeland of reggae and rasta - Jamaica. It also includes interviews with Jamaican artists such as LUCIANO, TERRY LYNN and the late GREGORY ISAACS.

Part of the financing has been provided by film fund Medienboard Berlin Brandenburg and the remaining amount will come from crowd funding through Kickstarter.

Kickstarter is an all-or-nothing fundraising service, meaning your contribution will only be debited if the project reaches the required target.

You can pledge anything from US$1 up to US$80,000 for a presenting partner/executive producer credit, across a number of donating options.
