O'Niel Bryan, more commonly known as dancehall artist ELEPHANT MAN or “The Energy God”, has been ordered to return to court in November to face charges of stealing electricity.
According to the Jamaica Observer the deejay appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court this morning and was told that his trial date will be on 30 November.
In early June he was arrested at his home in the parish of St Andrew and then charged after a team from the Jamaica Public Service Company and the police carried out an inspection.
The team found that the electricity meter contained an illegal connection which went directly to an apartment they claim was occupied by Bryan. Police reports reveal that several appliances were connected to the illegal connection.
Bryan is being represented by attorney Linda Wright.
On the music front ELEPHANT MAN’s most recent album Dance & Sweep... Adventures of the Energy God was released in February.
